Creo que las coronas simbolizan a Lima y la estrella sobre el mar representa a la Virgen María (Stella Maris). El escusón con forma oval contiene el cristograma: JHS, representando a la Compañía de Jesús. El lema, Amaos los unos a los otros, proviene de palabras de Jesús en Juan 13:34: Un mandamiento nuevo les doy: amaos unos a otros, como yo os he amado, así también amaos los unos a los otros.

I think the crowns represent Lima and the star over the sea represents Virgin Mary (Stella Maris). The oval inestutcheon has the monogram of Jesus Christ: JHS, representing the Society of Jesus. The motto, Amaos los unos a los otros (in Spanish: Love one another), comes from words of Jesus on John 13:34: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
